Sawyer

Sawyer is such a handsome dog! He is a 13 year old Cocker Spaniel who weighs 37 pounds. For the most of Sawyer’s life he was a treasured companion, receiving the best care. Unfortunately his beloved caregiver can no longer take care of him. Sawyer now needs to find an adopter who will give him the loving home and great care he was accustomed to. In return, Sawyer will devote himself to his new person and shower them with love and loyalty.

Sawyer was diagnosed with Lupus but don’t let that discourage you from considering him! He is stable and currently only needs a daily Benadryl and inexpensive thyroid supplement. Sawyer does need a home with someone who can afford his vet care and grooming. He also needs a home with someone who is home often and will not leave him alone much at all. Sawyer has anxiety about being left alone. He is used to coming along in the car (when it’s safe to do so); he makes a great traveling companion.

Sawyer shared his home with 2 other dogs a 2 cats when his owner’s caretaker moved in. We are told that Sawyer did fine with them.  Sawyer can be barky when he spots something or someone outside.  It would be terrific if Sawyer could find a home with a fenced yard otherwise he’ll need to be on leash. He’s well mannered on leash and he LOVES his daily walks. We are told that Sawyer can do stairs.
