10 year old Scarlett is a 60 pound pit bull.  Scarlett may be an older lady, but she’s still VERY spunky!  She LOVES to play fetch in the play yard and she will run and run and run!  Staff describes Scarlett as very sweet, but she can be rather intimidating to strangers when they walk past her kennel.  She does much better meeting people outside of her kennel and when she has a staff member with her to make her feel at ease.

Scarlett has been around other dogs, but does not really interact with them.  For this reason, we think it would be best if she were an only pet, or if she was paired up with a mature large breed male dog to balance the energy.  Scarlett would do best with an owner that is experienced with pit bulls and in a home with no small kids (teenagers would be fine).  Scarlett has a sensitive stomach, the shelter staff can fill you in on what works best for her to keep her feeling good.

Scarlett is posted for the Olympia Peninsula Humane Society in Port Angeles, WA. For more information about Scarlett you can call the shelter at: 360-457-8206 or email: OPHSpetfinder@gmail.com

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
