“Hello! My name is Shadow. I’m a 9.5 year old Lab and Australian Shepherd mix. At 55 pounds, I am not too small but I’m not too big either! I am in need of an adoptive home and very soon. Will you help find one?

“I have lived with another dog, a small dog and done just fine with him. It is unknown how I would be with a cat. Kids are great! I love kids that are gentle and kind. I can be protective of my family, not that I have ever bitten anyone but I will give a low growl. I will bark to let you know when someone is at the door or approaching. I would be best off with someone who is dog savvy and knows how to manage a smart dog like me.

“I love to play ball! I am not crazy about leashes but I should learn to be more accepting of them, for my own safety. Maybe my new people will work on some leash training and teach me to do tricks? I bet I’d be good at that!

“As a young senior, I’m pretty good about holding my bladder. I can do stairs and stay alone inside like a good boy. I am snuggly and very loyal. My wish is that my next home will be my forever home. So if you’re ready for a fun, devoted dog, I hope you’ll consider me!”
