Shelby

Shelby is beautiful border collie mix who is 9 year old. She has been described by her caregiver as being “a well-trained dog who is lovable and smart”. Shelby doesn’t have a long history of living with other dogs but she has for a short time and done fine with them. We are told Shelby ignores cats. She’s not been observed around kids of any age. Shelby’s former owner could not care for her so she was fortunate to find someone who could keep her until an adopter could be found. Shelby loves women; we’re told she can get very attached. But that doesn’t mean she cannot stay alone. Shelby is crated while her caregivers are away from home and reportedly can go quite a while without needing a potty break. She enjoys being outside, loves going for walks twice a day and catching a ball is great fun for her. Shelby does shed and she has a thick coat that needs brushing at least every other day. If you are looking for a well-behaved, loyal and loving buddy, Shelby is your girl!
