Meet Simba and Harry! This mother and son duo came to the shelter when their owner was no longer able to care for their medical needs in the face of some health issues of their own. Like so many of their breed, these merry cocker spaniels have a jolly attitude and enjoy their daily walks with volunteers – unfortunately they also share some common health issues typical for this breed and are a little on the *ahem* high-maintenance side. Harry and Simba have been together pretty much their whole lives and the shelter would really love to see them go to a home together! They have both been indoor dogs with their previous family and are crate trained. While they have not had much experience with other dogs, they may do fine with other dogs that are similar in age and temperament; their previous home did include children over 10 years so older kids who are respectful of their age and medical issues might be just fine.
Harry and Simba are used to being professionally groomed, and are described by their previous owner as very loving. If you are a spaniel lover, and are prepared to take on the good times and the challenges that come along with this pair of pups, stop by the shelter today to find out how to get to meet with Simba and Harry today!
They are posted for the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County.
THESE ARE NOT ODH DOGS; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
