Suzie
A very lovable 'silly goose'!
Please note: The dogs in ODH's Final Refuge care are not adoptable due to medical reasons and all are in permanent homes. Your sponsorship supports the veterinary expenses for these dogs - and we thank you!
Suzie came to Old Dog Haven from a shelter and ended up in the perfect final refuge home. This lucky girl is so loved!
Since Suzie is now an Old Dog Haven permanent foster dog, she will receive excellent vet care for life. Suzie has developed Cushing’s Disease and kidney disease, which requires regular vetting to monitor and detect any health changes. While neither can be cured, she receives medications that can slow the progression. Suzie’s veterinary care is provided for thanks to all who donate to Old Dog Haven.
Suzie stays very busy at home and has enjoyed time outdoors and “supervising” work projects. She has learned to appreciate road trips and her forever foster dad even built her a shelf in their truck so she has a place to look out at the scenery! She has represented Old Dog Haven at outreach events, loves to go on walks and chases the resident kitty. This senior dog has a very full life!
Her forever foster said this about Suzie today: “At 15, she has a few more gray/white hairs than when she arrived, but she still is a silly goose. I love her sideways looks when rolling on her back for a tummy rub. She is such a doll and we are grateful for everyone who got her to us 2 years ago. Here’s to many more with her!”
We, too, are hoping for many more adventures for sweet Suzie!
