8 year old Thelma is a sensitive, 10 pound little girl who is dreaming of a forever family. She is ready to be cherished and adored and she deserves that. Thelma doesn’t see very well so she can take some time to adjust to new people and new surroundings.  Once she settles into her new environment she will trust her people and follow them anywhere.

Thelma has lived with other dogs and is living peacefully with other respectful dogs in her foster home. She is fine with cats.  Because of the unpredictable nature and quick movements of children we are asking for a home without children under 12. No exceptions to that rule.

Thelma does not have any teeth so a diet of soft food will be necessary. She has learned proper potty habits in her foster home and will need someone patient to continue with her while she is adjusting.  Thelma will need a securely fenced yard and she loves her crate. This little girl is becoming more confident every day and has discovered her voice.  Apartment life is not for Thelma because she has recently found her voice.

Thelma recently received a senior wellness exam with bloodwork.  She was spayed and received a dental. She was unable to keep her teeth due to severe dental disease.

Thelma has a condition called “dry eye” and requires eye medication twice daily.  She is visually impaired and can only see shadows. This condition is not uncommon and will require long term monitoring and treatment.  Thelma will need an adopter willing to follow up with a veterinary ophthalmologist.

Thelma is posted for Save-A-Mutt Rescue. She is being fostered in Snohomish County, WA. For more information about Thelma, please submit a Save-A-Mutt adoption application. Adoption applications can be found at www.save-a-mutt.org.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation
