Tia is a 12 year old Chihuahua who was owner surrendered  her to Smidget Rescue.  Tia is a sweet little girl, all 7 pounds of her.

This spry senior is happy sleeping near her humans either up on the couch or snuggled in a blanket nearby on the floor.  At night her favorite place is under the covers next to a human. Tia gets along with all the other dogs in her foster home and likes to play with them, even the four year old dog who is five times her size.

Tia is a fantastic traveler and loves to go out on car rides or walks.  Despite her age, she is a good walker and lives to explore with her human.  She is great out in public and would do well in a dog friendly workplace.

Despite the reputation her breed has as barkers, Tia is very quiet and her rare barks are almost like a quiet quack.

Tia would prefer a household where either her humans are around most of the time or where she has another dog for company while the humans are gone at work.   She came to rescue with bladder and kidney infections, but those have been knocked out with antibiotics.   Tia was surrendered because she was having accidents in the house and will need an adopter who can get her back on a regular schedule.  In her younger days Tia was used to a doggie door and she is currently using potty pads. Tia takes an inexpensive liver supplement daily.

Because of her size, Tia needs to be in a home with older, respectful children. Tia is afraid of cats, so she will be best in a cat-free household.

Tia is currently in a Smidget Rescue foster home in Burien, WA.  If you would like to meet her, ask questions, or apply to adopt Tia contact Smidget Rescue at SmidgetRescue@hotmail.com.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
