Special adopter needed! Willie is an adorable and elderly Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso mix who weighs about 16 pounds. He is 15-16 years old and finds himself in need of a new home since his senior person can no longer care for him. Willie should be with someone who can get him out to potty on a regular basis. His senior owner was not able to do so the past couple of years and so he’s gotten out of the habit of alerting people when he needs to relieve himself though he can “hold it” all night long. He has been boarded at a vet clinic recently and is now used to being in a pen with potty pads. Years ago he did have bladder stones but he has been kept on a special diet to prevent more. As one would expect at his age, his vision is not great and he is deaf – but that doesn’t stop Willie! Willie does not react to other dogs so might do fine in a new home with an older, calm dog. A home without stairs would be best. Willie will still run around in the yard when the mood hits him but regular walks are not required. He’s described as “a charming dog who has a great attitude and energy”.

Willie is in Bellevue WA, waiting for the right home with love and care for his remaining time.
