Perhaps a smooth collie mix, Zenith came into a big shelter looking really awful; her skin was terrible and her joints very sore. She went to one of the shelter’s foster homes where her skin improved a good deal, but was never adopted. ODH was asked to take her on. With fairly aggressive veterinary care her skin is vastly better, she is moving more comfortably, and her cough is controlled. Each doctor who’s seen her agrees with her friends: This is a very, very nice dog who really deserves to feel GOOD in her senior years. She is loved and enjoying life and we’re glad to see her happy.

Update:  The disc disease and arthritis in Zenith’s back finally progressed too far for her to continue.   She had such a happy year with her ODH family and had blossomed into a really beautiful old lady – she will be remembered with love.
