Once again I’m stepping back from my series about what makes Old Dog Haven successful to tell you about a very special 20th Anniversary event on October 13 from 1-5 P.M. at Northwest Cellars in Kirkland (11909 124th Ave. NE.)

There will be wine, calendars, books, ODH merchandise, dogs, music, snacks and more. Northwest Cellars will be donating $5 per bottle of any bottles purchased at the event and any online orders of the two wines (2019  Red Blend and 2022  White Blend) with the Old Dog Haven label during the month of October. Please note, for online orders, select the ‘label already on file’ option and comment ODH or Old Dog Haven. 10% case discount will be honored. $15 Ticket purchase required.

The hot-off-the-press 2025 ODH Calendar will be available for sale and Ardeth De Vries will be there from 1-3 pm to sign and sell copies of her new book, “When I Grow Old I Shall Wear Flowers: Thoughts About Senior Dogs”. All proceeds from book sales will be donated to Old Dog Haven.

Also, ODH merchandise: three different 20th anniversary t-shirts, tote bags, magnets, and yellow Snap-On-glow in the dark bandanas will be available for sale.

D.J. Non-Prophet will be there spinning tunes.

Snacks will be provided. And … all dogs are welcome!

Don’t miss the celebration!

Detour Alert: The main road in front of the strip mall where NW Cellars is located will be completely closed on the 13th so you need to set your GPS to Dania Furniture in Kirkland. Once you turn into the Dania parking lot, take the alley to the right of the Dania building. At the end of the alley, turn left, then second right.
