The Maranda Fund

The Maranda Fund was inspired by a dog named Maranda that arrived at Old Dog Haven as a stray in 2009. Maranda required surgery to repair her torn knee ligaments and despite a generous discount from the veterinary clinic, the surgery was very costly and a decision needed to be made.

Old Dog Haven decided Maranda deserved a chance for adoption and a comfortable future so the surgery was completed.  After a lengthy recovery Maranda was adopted by her forever family with the assurance that Old Dog Haven would cover future surgeries if needed.

The Maranda Fund was started to help other dogs like Maranda that need extraordinary veterinary procedures. Since the Maranda Fund was started in 2010 over 115 dogs have been helped with the Maranda Fund.
