Daphne
Very friendly and affectionate

Shelter staff contacted Old Dog Haven about Daphne, a 10 lb., longhair chihuahua mix who urgently needed medical treatment and her very own home.
Daphne had arrived at the shelter with one enormous mammary tumor as well as other small mammary masses, all a consequence of never being spayed. We found Daphne a wonderful foster home and she has already had her veterinary intake appointment. The vet team will decide the best course of action for removing her mammary tumors which won’t be easy.
Her new loving foster home tells us how Daphne has settled into her forever home.
“Daphne is a friendly, affectionate little Chi mix who fits right in with my pack of weirdos. She has charmed everyone, dogs and humans alike. Funny story about the first hour she was home. I placed her in the exercise pen in the family room so she could see and get to know the other dogs. The first time I left I room I found her sitting on top of the crate inside the pen (see picture). The second time l left, I found her running around the family room meeting and greeting all the other dogs. So much for my slow, get acquainted set up! And that’s Daphne! Life is too short to take it slow. This little live wire has jumped in with all four paws. She is just the bright spot we needed in the middle of winter. Welcome Daphne!”
Her foster family will give Daphne the endless love and permanent home she needs and Old Dog Haven will continue to provide lifelong medical care for this lucky girl!
