Shy doxie
Dottie came into our care in 2011 after a stay at a large shelter. She was a really beautiful girl who was very shy with people. Dottie found a friend in Joe, another old doxie in her foster home, that she would snuggle up next to. When she was feeling good she loved finding a place in the sun to soak in the warmth. She had a really cute way of running: it was more like bunny-hopping along. Dottie was an old girl who started to struggle with doggy dementia plus back and leg pain that made getting around hard for her. We sent her on her way with lots of love and a belly full of food she hadnt been allowed to eat before because of her kidney disease. You will be missed and remembered always, Dottie. She passed away March 29, 2014.
