Fred and Ginger’s story is a one of true love and they are hoping for a fairy tale ending. This bonded pair of dachshunds are estimated to be about 10 years old and they each weigh about 13 pounds. These are very nice dogs; and while they are bonded to each other they will independently socialize with other dogs and cats. We are told they’d prefer a home with older children. Ginger and Fred know how to use both a dog door and potty pads- bonus! These friends enjoy car rides and going for walks. Ginger can be a little barky sometimes but with a reminder to be polite she responds well. Fred has a big, deep bark but is rarely heard; he’s a mellow boy who sprints for excitement at mealtime. Fred is the white dachshund who loves the sun but must be watched not to get sunburn. While both dogs love sharing a lap, Ginger is the more affectionate one of the pair.

Fred and Ginger are posted for Hearts4Doxies Rescue. They are in a foster home in Vancouver, WA.

ODH has not met these dogs; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
