This adorable scruffy boy is Goose! Goose is a senior Maltese-Chinese Crested mix and is such a cutie pie! Goose is spending time in a foster home, where he is being showered with love and attention. Despite his age, Goose is still playful and loves to go on long walks and sniff everything along the way! At the end of a long day, Goose will snuggle up right on your lap or right by your side on the couch. He currently lives with two bigger dogs and loves to snuggle up with them. Goose’s foster family has been working on him with his house training and he is doing great at letting them know when he has to go outside- he will run to the door and bark! However, he does need frequent trips outside to go potty, so he would love an adopter who is home often or a home where he has a doggy door to a safe outdoor enclosure to go potty. Goose’s foster parents say he is a great little dog with a big personality! Goose would do best in a home without really young kids, as lots of activity would be a bit stressful for him. Like many older dogs, Goose has some stiffness in his hind end and cloudiness in his eyes. When Goose came in to us, he was found to have chronic ear infections and skin inflammation. Goose has been on a food trial for allergies while in his foster home and is doing well on his prescription food. His adopters will need to continue his special diet in his new home, and follow up with their full-service vet to ensure he stays healthy and comfortable throughout his senior years. One look at Goose and you’re sure to fall completely in love!

Goose is available for adoption at Kitsap Humane Society in Silverdale, WA.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
