Hootch

Hootch is described as “95 pounds of love”. He is an 8 year old pitbull mix.

He was found as a stray, but one thing staff and volunteers can tell you is that he loves people and being with people no matter what they are doing. Hootch enjoys running errands; he’s a wonderful car companion. He will join you while you sit and read. Hootch loves to cuddle too!

Hootch recently went on a “Pawsitive Adventure” with a shelter volunteer and showed off his true gentlemanly self. He enjoyed getting hugs from strangers and letting his barista know he loved his pup cup by giving her a gentle lick.

This nice boy has a calm disposition on leash around other dogs; shelter staff reports they expect him to do well with other dogs. We are told staff would happily do a meet-and-greet with potential adopters and their dogs with Hooch.

This handsome big boy arrived to the shelter with joint pain and ear infections in both ears. Thankfully, the kind folks at the shelter are treating his ears, but his adopter will need to follow up with their veterinarian. He is taking supplements for joint support as well. His adopter’s veterinarian may offer additional options to keep Hootch moving comfortably.

Hootch is posted for the Blue Mountain Humane Society located in Walla Walla, WA. For more information about Hootch and adopting him, please email: adoptions@bluemountainhumane.org . The shelter’s adoption application is online here: https://www.bluemountainhumane.org/apply-now

This is not an Old Dog Haven dog. Old Dog Haven has not assessed this dog for medical issues and will not be responsible for medical care after adoption. We urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
