Kiwi

Kiwi is a fun-loving boy who looks forward to being included in the family’s adventures. He is a 9-year-old, 12-pound chihuahua. Kiwi is always ready to go for a walk, a hike or even a car ride. Just say the word, and he is right there.

Kiwi loves sunbathing in the comfort of his securely fenced yard or lounging on the couch where he can soak up the sunbeams as they stream through the windows. As long as he is with his people he is happy. Kiwi loves to snuggle and anxiously awaits an invitation to relax on the couch or on the bed.

Kiwi has impeccable house manners. He is housebroken and will also use the dog door. He is a good boy on the leash but can be reactive when he sees other dogs. He will need a patient person willing to work with him on building his confidence on walks, and it won’t take long because he aims to please.

Kiwi is a gentleman with other dogs. He will find happiness as an only dog or with canine companions. How Kiwi will react to cats is unknown; therefore, any cats in the home should have a safe place to observe Kiwi while he adapts to his new surroundings. Because of the quick and unpredictable nature of young children, his rescuers are asking for a home without children under 8 years of age.
