Lucky Lou

10-year-old Lucky Lou is a gentle, 12-pound Chihuahua mix boy who is dreaming of being a cherished family member.

Lucky would love a family that will include him in their adventures. Whether it’s going for a drive, going for a walk, or just hanging out on the couch, this guy is ready when you are. Lucky Lou is energetic and enthusiastic.

His rescue foster mom reports that he is the perfect blend of active companion and easygoing housemate. He makes friends wherever he goes but can be cautious around men at first. He thrives with patient, understanding people who will give him time to build trust and feel safe. Once he is your friend, he is your friend for life! Lucky Lou gets along with other dogs, cats, chickens, and children. He would be the perfect fit for just about any family.

This sweet boy is fully potty trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and has excellent house and leash manners. He’s comfortable relaxing in a crate but can also be trusted loose in the house when you’re away. One of his standout qualities is his fantastic recall—he loves staying connected with his people and comes when called.
