Merlin and Fagan – Bonded Pair
Two friends with a special bond
PERMANENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED: Extremely bonded pair, neutered males, mini australian shepherd 37# and chihuahua/dachsie/something mix 20#. These two have really depended on each other and, as the aussie is losing more and more of his sight and with their special human passed last year, they really would like to stay together. Merlin the aussie has a very stiff hind end and is low energy perhaps due to being nearly blind now. He is good with dogs, kids and in the car (though he might cry if he’s unsure of what’s happening) and likes to be near people. Fagan the chi mix has had 3 emergency visits years ago, two for ingesting things he shouldn’t (one required surgery), one when hit by a car (head trauma and pelvic fractures, no surgery). Perhaps because of those, he objects to being picked up around his middle. Otherwise he is a very sweet little fellow who wants to curl up on your lap or with – or on! – Merlin. He loves the car and going places with you. We don’t know how they are with cats. Neither of the dogs has any recent vet history that the family can find so we don’t know about their health.
