Check out this beautiful frosted-faced golden retriever. Her name is Molly. She is 11 years old and a good size at 70 pounds. Molly has a tendency to be the “alpha” in a pack of dogs; she currently lives with other dogs her size. Molly does not seem to appreciate small dogs. She has not lived with cats but has been known to chase them.  Molly is a retired bird hunter so one must take that into consideration in giving her a home. She has lived with children but because she has some arthritis and possible hip pain (due to a early surgery), she needs a home with kids old enough to respect her space and not climb or pull on her. We are told she can manage stairs but doing them on a daily basis could prove difficult for her, especially as she ages.

Molly is said to be a vocal dog who makes funny “Chewbacca-style” growls when she greets you at the door. Doesn’t she sound like a great dog?! This golden girl loves the lie on the porch and sunbathe. Reportedly she can stay alone without a potty break for quite some time. But it sounds like she spends a lot of her day outside at this point. A home where she can come in and out as she pleases would be great.

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of having a dog of this breed in your family, you know how special they can be. Someone will certainly be lucky to welcome Molly into their home. Molly is currently living in Bonney Lake, WA.

ODH has not met this dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
