Meet Patton – This special 12-year-old pug is looking for a new home to putter around in. He’s a mellow old soul who is hard of hearing and doesn’t see very well. Before coming to PPR Patton lived in an office space for a few years, but he has been relearning what it’s like to be a family dog since coming to live in his foster home. His eyes have degraded to a point where he’ll need eye medication daily, but despite his vision impairments it doesn’t take him long to map out his new surroundings. A one-level home with a fenced yard would be best for him as he doesn’t do well with too many stairs. He is completely housetrained and we’re told he knows how to use a doggy door. Other friendly animals or strange people don’t seem to faze him, and he has shown no destructive behaviors. He may bark if he has trouble finding his people or if left alone for too long, but who can blame him? Patton’s favorite things in life are a nice rug to hang out on, treats, and a good belly rub.
