“Howdy! My name is Rocco and I’m a 10 year old shih tzu. My foster Momma calls me Black Beauty because she says that I’m as black as Black Beauty the famous horse!

My foster Mom says that I’m an awesome little dude! OK, OK, I get it! 23 lbs. isn’t exactly little, it’s quite large for a Shih Tzu but I am not fat…I am just big!

I am looking for a new family to call my very own! I integrated very quickly and easily into a pack of 7 dogs when I got into foster care and I don’t seem to have any issues with dogs who are about my size or smaller. I don’t even care very much about the resident fat cat! I would love to find a family who has a lot of time for me because I tend to get lonely without anyone around. I would love walks and time in the yard and maybe even trips to Lowes and maybe even the beach! Woo hoo! I would love to have a dog sibling to keep me company when my people are gone—you know, someone super friendly, a comrade, a sweet friend. I love to cuddle, I love belly rubs and I love just hanging out on the couch when you’re watching TV! I have a lot of love to give…A LOT of love to give!
