“Hello there! My name is Abel and I am a 61 pound pitbull.  I made my way to the shelter as a stray at the beginning of February 2025.

“I’m a sweet boy looking for a new place to call my own. In the shelter, I’ve been a perfect gentleman – polite for leashing, a nice walker and I keep my kennel pretty clean as well. I think I could do well in a variety of different types of homes! I like to be active but I like to have my couch potato time as well. I would do best as the only dog in the home where I can get all the snuggles and attention to myself.

“I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

“I do have a small growth on my neck that my adopter should checked out by a vet.

“I have “crepitus” in my knees (sounds crunchy!) which could be from arthritis or an injury.  I would appreciate relief from that. A vet could prescribe something to help me become more comfortable. I hear even humans get a little crunchy as they age!

“I am neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped!  My adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion.  My adoption fee has been reduced!  This adoption fee includes a King County pet license (if applicable).
