Alex and Halo had been together their whole lives – about 13 years! When their person could no longer care for them due to health reasons, they were both sent to a shelter, where they stayed for quite some time. It is not easy to find a home for two pups who really need to stay together.

Fortunately for me, Old Dog Haven was able to take the two dears into care, make sure they received good medical care, and then I was able to provide their Final Refuge forever home! They came into my life at a time when I desperately needed their love and companionship. It is amazing how rescuing dogs often helps us as much as it does them. Alex’s under bite makes him especially adorable and Halo’s abundant joy was contagious. I looked forward to coming home every night again thanks to these two blessings.

Sadly, little Halo passed away suddenly leaving Alex to lean on me even more. But together we look forward to adding another pup to the family at some point in the future. Thanks to your support of ODH, bonded dogs like Alex and Halo were able to live out their golden years together and loved. What a gift!
