Annie is a sweet, loving 11 year old black Lab in need of retirement home.  Annie needed a new home when her owner moved in to an Assisted Living facility and could no longer care for her.  Rescue had found a wonderful new home 6 months ago and Annie settled down nicely in a multi-dog household.  However, recently Annie has begun to show signs of hostility towards a small dog in her home.  Her new owner loves Annie dearly, but has regretfully decided that Annie would do best as an only dog.  Annie is fine with the dogs she meets on her daily walks, but wants to have all of the attention when inside her house.

Annie takes daily medication for arthritis but is otherwise in generally good health.  She likes to go on gentle walks, play with her stuffed squeaky toys, and above all to cuddle with her new owner.  Annie is a low-maintenance dog – she does not need a lot of exercise and is content to hang out in the house, receiving pats and dispensing kisses.  She would make a great companion for someone in need of a 95 pound bundle of love!

Annie is posted for Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue. She is being fostered in Langley (Whidbey Island),  WA. This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
