Sweet Arnold was taken to a shelter at 10 years old. He is a 13 pound dachshund who is blind. You will notice in this photo that his eyes had to be removed at the shelter. His adopter should be willing and able to keep him safe from falling down stairs and keep him leashed when he’s in an unfenced area. We have seen blind dogs adapt wonderfully to new surroundings when they are given time and shown patience and understanding.

Arnold lives with other dogs in his foster home but it is unknown how he would react to a cat….his nose and ears still work! Because he is completely blind, a home with children at least 12 years old or older would be best for Arnold.

Arnold would be happiest in a home where people are around more often than not. He would definitely benefit in a home with another senior dog of similar temperament and energy.

Arnold is posted for Heart4doxies Rescue. He is being fostered in Lynnwood, WA. The rescue will accept applicants from: WA State, Oregon and British Columbia. Please email: hearts4doxies@gmail.com if you are interested in giving this dear boy an adoptive home.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
