Aslan made his way to Old Dog Haven after he was found wandering in a field and taken to a shelter. This 88 lb Samoyed boy was fairly stiff, had matted fur and was desperately in need of someone to give him some love and attention. Luckily Aslan was placed in the perfect Old Dog Haven final refuge home where his foster mom tells us he is a perfect fit.  He moved in and instantly got along with the resident dog, Mickey, the cat and even a duck that sleeps in the mudroom at night! This beautiful boy is a big, gentle giant that is loved by everyone he meets.

Aslan has now received medical care and is on medications to alleviate his stiff joints and pain. He has had some stomach issues and a neuter surgery but is now feeling so much better. He gets to go on two to three walks every day and his favorite thing to do is play with his brother, Mickey, nap the day away and hang out with his family in the garden.

Aslan’s family calls him their Old Dog Haven angel and are thankful he will only see good days from here on out.

Update:  Although he only had 5 months with his wonderful Final Refuge family, dear Aslan really made the most of it.  You could tell he relished every minute of attention and leisurely walks and napping.  He will be greatly missed.
