Bandit

Hi there! My name is Bandit. I am a young senior who is about 8 years old. I am an active Blue Heeler who weighs 60 pounds. My people will tell you that I am an attentive and loving boy.

“I am hoping to find a home with people who will keep me forever. I have lived with my current people for a couple of years now. They are getting older and they are looking to “downsize”. I came to them from another family that had to move. I have done well adapting each time but I’d rather find a home where I can settle in and stay.

“While I have never lived with other dogs, I can be a good boy around other dogs who are nice to me. I live with cats right now and I leave them alone. Kids are nice as long as they are old enough to be gentle and respectful with me. I would make a great family dog! I can hang out with the kids, go to the park (on leash, of course) and enjoy family outings.mp

“Speaking of a leash, I behave while on a leash. I love my walks and hope to find a family that can take me for daily walks. I am a smart boy! Maybe my new family can get me into some classes to learn new things? That could be fun. I LOVE to play frisbee. I can catch one in the air and retrieve it! How many senior dogs can do that?!

“I stay in my kennel when the humans leave the house. I spend my days inside when my people are home; however, at night, I’m put in the kennel unless it’s really cold outside. I am not sure why that is the case but if I had to give my wish, I’d say please let me sleep at night inside no matter what the weather is.

“Regular potty breaks are appreciated. When my people are home I am let out every 2-3 hours to relieve myself. Dogs don’t like holding it for long hours. Most of us don’t like having our nails trimmed either; I am one of those dogs. If someone comes to the house, I am a good boy who will bark to let you know they have arrived.
