8-year-old Bentley is a sweetheart of a guy who is longing for a forever home. He is an 11 pound, one-eyed dachshund.

Bentley is athletic and would be a great hiking, running or walking buddy. Just say the word and he is ready to go! Bentley bonds strongly with his people and can be protective when he meets new people. He relaxes quickly when his person lets him know that it’s ok.

Bentley will be happiest in a home where he isn’t left alone for the long workday. He loves every minute spent with his people. Bentley tolerates other calm, submissive dogs but he will do best as an only dog. His history with cats is unknown; therefore, his rescuers are asking for a home without them. Bentley has lived with children, but because of his protective nature, it is best that he find a child-free home. Bentley is housebroken, crate-trained, and good on a leash.
