Candy

Candy is a beautiful 12 year old chihuahua, such a dainty girl at only 8 pounds. She was surrendered to the shelter with severe dental disease and was initially quite fearful in her new chaotic environment. She quickly warmed up to staff and is actually a lovely little dog who would be well suited to a quieter home. She has had a dental with multiple extractions of her poor rotted teeth so she is in good shape currently, but will need routine vet visits so she stays that way. She is still shy at first meeting, so any children in the home should be older and respectful of dogs.

She is dog social and enjoys the company of other small dogs. She would likely be just fine with kitties as well but we recommend a slow introduction to them at first.

Candy is posted for Regional King County Animal Services and is at the offsite adoption center at PETCO in Kirkland.
