“Hey there! My name is Cash. While I may have a puppy face, I’m actually 11 years old. My people say I am a black lab/shepherd mix. I weigh 55 pounds. I have been a terrific family dog because I LOVE kind children. Maybe I can find another family to love? I could certainly live with a single person, or a couple too. I am an “easy keep”!

“Other dogs who want to be friends are nice. I’m a very social fellow. I have never lived with cats before but when I see one, I’m not sure what to think about it!  As I mentioned before I love kids! They are fun to play fetch with and cuddle up with too (as long as they don’t want to sit or pull on me).  Another reason to love kids is…sometimes they drop food!

“My people have to leave the house for long hours now.  Because of this, when they are away I am kept in the garage with a dog door out to the yard. I appreciate that they give me a warm, dry place to go when the weather isn’t nice or I want shelter. I would much rather be inside the house with my people which is why the hope is, I can find a new home where people don’t have to leave me for so long. That doesn’t mean you have to be retired, it just means you could be around more for me. I don’t get anxious or anything, I am well-behaved. My people believe I am lonely.

“I am a really good dog! I don’t bark much unless I get startled. I can “hold it” for a long time though I’d rather not have to. I know how to use a dog door so that is helpful. I’ve never been formally trained but I am good on leash. Right now I don’t go for a lot of walks but maybe my new family would have more time to do that with me? That would be so nice.

“My people have me up to date on my shots but I’ve not had a full senior check-up. Regular vetting could give me the best quality of life and possibly extend my time with my people too!

“I am a young at heart, friendly dog. I am hoping for a home with people who will enjoy and love me as much as I will enjoy and love them! ”
