“Well Hello there! My name’s Champ and I’m looking to find a new home. I’m only about 8 years old, I just reached an age where one may say I’m a “senior dog” but I really don’t behave like an old dog. That doesn’t mean I’m hyper either-I can be pretty mellow when I am supposed to be. My breeding? Well your guess is as good as mine. I weigh 28 pounds so I don’t think that puts me in the “small dog” category-I prefer to think I’m “just right”. I’m good with other dogs; I’ve lived with a big dog for most of my life. I’ve been around cats too but they haven’t lived in the house so I can’t say for sure what I’d do if I went to a home where the cats live indoors with me. Maybe we’d be friends? I have been good with kids who are good to me. I’ve stayed alone in the house (with my big dog buddy) for quite a few hours without needing a potty break. I can do stairs and if you put a harness on me, I’d appreciate going for walks. I do this fun trick that cracks up my human-I can walk on my hind legs! Not to brag or anything (well, maybe a little bragging), I once saved the life of a small dog who was being attacked by a coyote! I scared that coyote off and brought the small dog back to the house. Yep, I’m a brave guy who is hoping to find a home with someone who will appreciate all I have to offer. I’m polite, friendly and I will be very happy to join you for cuddling on the couch. I do need to find a home very soon so if you’re interested in meeting me, I’m ready and waiting.”
