Chewy arrived to us on Dec 8th, thanks to a great volunteer transporter.  It’s taken a couple of weeks, but we’re all learning each others routines.  Chewy is a “pom mix”,  we tease him he was mixed with a pony.  Chewy is quite tall (our other 2 FR Poms can walk underneath him without difficulty), and very lame.  He doesn’t seem uncomfortable, thanks to appropriate pain meds.  He can even gallop abit, when he thinks it’s time for dinner (that’s his tell to us).  He’s a very happy and friendly old man.  At night, he whines for about 5 min, then not a sound till it’s time to get up in the morning (which is very appreciated).  He’s quickly becoming a ‘daddy’s boy’, which is wonderful for my husband.  He’s trying to eat us out of house and home, but he needs some weight, so that’s fine.

We feel very blessed to have added him to our family (I was on pins and needles till I learned he was ours!).  We are all crazy in love with him.

This is only possible due to the donors that support these seniors.  If you could only see their joy and happiness at being loved, and how much love they share.  Thank you so much.
