Meet Chuy Guillermo! This handsome Lhasa/Shih Tzu mix is 12 years old. His family was no longer able to care for him so he has now found a forever home with a longtime Old Dog Haven Final Refuge family.  They tell us that he was very sad initially and confused as to why his life had changed so much.

Thanks to your support of ODH, Chuy was thoroughly vetted and received a much-needed dental that included 24 extractions – including two that were growing sideways! Once he recovered from the surgery, he started to feel a whole lot better. Little Chuy gets along well with the household’s other two dogs, except when Steve the Cocker Spaniel violates his personal space (poor Steve, he’s a little lacking in social skills). Chuy likes to watch TV and talks to any dogs or cats that he sees.

Now that things are looking up for Chuy he can focus on the important things in life, like car rides and making appearances at ODH outreach events. His people tell us, “He’s been to his first ODH outreach event and he was a superstar!” They are looking forward to years of enjoying this little fellow’s company.

Update: Chuy said goodbye today to his beloved foster mother after 4 years.  This little fellow will be sorely missed.
