Donkey sounds like he is just about the perfect dog!

At 9 years old, he is a young, active senior who loves kind people of all ages. Donkey does well with other dogs and we are told cats too. Why does he need to be rehomed, you ask? Because Donkey has started killing his family’s chickens. That is unfortunate but certainly there are many great homes out there that don’t have chickens.

Donkey is a very handsome, 60 pound Australian Shepherd mix. He spends his days inside his home, living peacefully with other dogs. We are told he is fine to stay inside his home when his people leave the house. No doubt having other dogs to keep him company will help Donkey in a new home. Donkey can manage quite a while before he needs a potty break. He can manage stairs.

This nice boy does well on leash and appreciates getting out to walk and enjoy exploring.  A fenced yard would be nice for him to get out into when he’s not outside with his family. We are told he easily entertains himself and that Donkey loves toys.

Donkey is not up to date on vaccines and should be adopted by someone who can have that done for him as well as a senior wellness check. It’s been 3 years since he saw a vet, we recommend a senior see a vet at least once a year to maintain good health. This affectionate, gentle boy will reward your care with loyalty and love.
