Duchess is a 40 pound, 10 year old English Springer mix who was surrendered to a shelter by her owner many months ago. She won the hearts of volunteers working at the shelter with her sweet disposition and her strong desire to be with people. The shelter environment was difficult for her, so she went into a temporary foster home. Poor Duchess had a bladder infection when she came out of the shelter, which has been treated. She also has some arthritis in her back, for which she is now receiving inexpensive pain management; it has made a world of difference for this sweet girl. She wants a home that will allow her to get plenty of Duchess time and without young or rowdy dogs. She would do best in a home where she is not left for long days alone. She would be fine with another mellow dog or a cat.

Her temporary foster cannot keep her much long long and really hopes that someone out there will see what a gem this little girl is and want to adopt her as their next family member!   Dluchess is posted for Lucky Paws Rescue and is in Tacoma. Email Leah at leahrotella@comcast.net or Terry at luckydog115@gmail.com.

ODH has not met this dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
