Sweet and gentle

Ellie was surrendered to a shelter at the age of 11.
She came into Old Dog Haven’s care overweight, having skin issues and congenitally malformed front legs.
Despite her health issues, she is a sweet and gentle lady. Since seeing the vet, Ellie is on a special diet and medication for her thyroid and arthritis. She has already lost some weight, and the medication has her feeling much better.
Ellie fits right into the family with two other Old Dog Haven fosters and a resident dog. All the dogs nap together, sometimes three on one bed. She loves to wander and take her time sniffing the backyard, then climb into her favorite dog bed on the deck to sleep in the sun. She will then wander back inside and hop up on the couch and request some belly rubs. Ellie’s ‘trick’ is getting two toys in her mouth and carrying them around.
What a wonderful life for an old dog!
