Elloise is a special lady. What a cutie! She is an 8 year old, 17 pound Lhasa Apso.

Here is what her foster family has to say about her: “Elloise May (aka Miss L) will brighten your day with her spunky personality and charm. She’s a fun loving gal who thinks sleeping on her back and getting belly rubs is awesome, walks are delightful (and so is saying hi to other humans along the way), human laps are comfortable, cozy Netflix days with a good chewy are fun, and Keep-Away and Tug-of-War are to be taken very seriously (may the best human or dog win!).

Elloise has your typical Lhasa Apso character and temperament. If her boundaries are not respected, she will get mouthy. Ms. L is not fond of face bumps unless she initiates them and even then she is in charge and guards her cute face. The belief is that she might have sustained an injury to her face, and that is why she is protective of her face.

Elloise has lived with cats and would be fine in a home with a dog-savvy cat. Any other dogs in the home should be her size and possess a calm, submissive demeanor. Elloise can be vocal when she’s excited or wants to communicate her excitement or nervousness in a new situation and is seeking reassurance from her handler. She has shown herself to be easily redirected. She may bark when her people leave but she settles down with a nap or a watchful eye out the window while she waits for her people to return.

Elloise has great house manners and is also a great little car buddy. Because of the quick and unpredictable nature of young children, her rescuers are asking for a home without children under 12 years of age.

Elloise is posted for Save-A-Mutt. She is being fostered in Snohomish County, WA. If you’d like to learn more about Elloise, please email: elizabeth@save-a-mutt.org or check out their Petfinder link: www.petfinder.com/dog/elloise-ms-l-75434411/wa/silvana/save-a-mutt-wa630/
