Fawn is a 100lb, 11-year-old Bouvier des Flandres, a rare breed known for their calm and gentle nature. Fawn has only known one forever home but her heartbroken owner was unable to keep her due to medical problems. Fawn has been a dream foster – housebroken, doesn’t bark, walks on leash with no pulling, gets along with other dogs, good with people – she has it all. She does have some arthritis, so looking forward to her future we feel that a home with minimal stairs would be best to help her stay mobile for the rest of her days. She is overweight but is currently on a diet and doing well. She has been started on rimadyl and a low dose of thyroid because, like a lot of older folks, she has some aches and pains and a low thyroid level. Medications for Fawn will probably cost around $75 a month, so any adopter will need to be aware of that expense.  All Fawn wants is a stable, loving home where she can take naps, get out on short walks and sniff the interesting smells, and get the occasional butt rub that gets her little stubby tail wiggling. One look at Fawn’s soulful eyes, and you won’t be able to say no.

Fawn is posted for adoption through Rescue Every Dog. She is being fostered in Sequim, WA. but is available for meet and greets in Kitsap County. Her adoption donation is $150.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
