Hermi
Never meets a stranger
Please note: The dogs in ODH's Final Refuge care are not adoptable due to medical reasons and all are in permanent homes. Your sponsorship supports the veterinary expenses for these dogs - and we thank you!
Happy, Kissy Face, Little Bundle of Joy – those are the words that describe Hermi.
Hermi is estimated to be a 10-12 year old intact male. His lower jaw has receded and his jawbone is very thin. He was found as a stray. The shelter brought his weight up to 3.5 lb, so you can imagine how tiny he was when they found him. After his ODH vet intake visit, it was discovered he has some kidney issues, a 3 out of 6 heart murmur, and luxating patella’s. He is currently on a kidney diet and because of his heart murmur Hermi also got an Echo to make sure his heart was strong enough for surgery on his mouth, and a neuter.
When the ODH transporter picked him up for transport to his ODH final refuge home, he was a bundle of energy. He kissed his foster family and each doggie member, too. He just wiggles with joy and never meets a stranger.
Despite any medical issues, he is a delight to be around. Thanks to the generous donors to Old Dog Haven, Hermi will receive the best of care and love from his foster family for the rest of his life.
