Jasper is an 11 year old Bichon Frise who is 17 pounds of sweetness. He is described as “a tenderhearted people pleaser who is a happy, playful boy”.  He has graduated from Good Citizen Dog training too. Jasper is the whole package!  Who wouldn’t want to share their home with Jasper?

Jasper has spent his life with another dog, the belief is he’d be fine in a home with another friendly dog as he’s accustomed to canine company. He takes weekly dog park visits and spends time at doggy day care. He has not been observed around cats. Jasper has been around visiting, respectful children and done well with them.

If you are a walker, Jasper is your guy. He loves daily walks and is well behaved on leash. Playing hide and seek is a favorite game of his. Another bonus: Jasper is dog door trained. He will let himself out to relieve himself if you have a dog door and he learns where it is. He’s described as being an agile dog who can do stairs. Jasper sleeps at night in a soft sided crate. He will let you know when someone is at the door but is otherwise not much of a barker.

Jasper had bladder stones removed in 2016. This is something his breed is prone to. Because of this, Jasper is on a veterinary prescribed food to help prevent further growth of stones. It is very important for Jasper’s well being that his adopter be able and willing to maintain his diet and vetting to monitor his health. A dog can die a painful death from stone blockage that causes the bladder to rupture. One must take this very seriously.

Jasper sounds like a delightful dog who is going to make a really great friend to a lucky someone. He’s waiting in Anacortes, WA. for his adopter.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
