Karma
A real lover
Karma is a 10-year-old girl longing for a home where she can be part of her family. Look at her unique markings! She is a beautiful 50-pound mixed-breed dog who has spent almost all of her time in the garage since her family began having children 5 years ago. Karma is ready for that to change!
Karma has lived with other dogs, and we are told she is appropriately social with dogs with proper introductions. While Karma has lived with a cat, it took time and lots of training to finally leave the cat alone. Since she has not shared a space with that cat these past 5 years, and she will chase a cat, we’d say she needs a no-cat home. Karma does not do well with young children; this is the reason she is being rehomed. A home for Karma without kids is best.
It has been hard on Karma to be completely alone after she had been allowed amongst the adults in her home. The hope is to find a home with a couple or a single person who will open their home and hearts to Karma. Karma will need time to settle into her new home and time to adapt to a new schedule. Karma will bark when left alone. This means she needs a home where that will not be a problem with neighbors. It also means she needs someone patient and willing to work with her on this. We are told that Karma is not destructive at all. When she’s left alone, she just barks. We are told when Karma’s canine buddy was still around she barked less. She can go about 4-5 hours during the day before she needs a potty break.
Someone who wants a dog to walk is going to be very happy with Karma! She enjoys daily walks and is GREAT on leash. Her people say she appears to have arthritis. Currently, Karma does not take anything to help with that. We suggest a joint supplement; there are many options! Karma can manage stairs without issue at this time. Karma loves her stuffed toys. Who doesn’t like to watch a senior dog play with toys? SO sweet.
Karma eats low-fat food and feels her very best while eating it. This diet should be continued with her adoption. Karma’s owners will share the brand with potential adopters. While she is eating, Karma wants privacy, and who can blame her? She will protect her food, which means she should be fed away from other dogs.
This girl is a lover. She LOVES humans, affection, and wants to show her new people what an amazing companion she can be.
