“Hi! My name is Khaleesi. I am a 66-pound German Shepherd. The nice people here at the shelter say I am about 8 years old.

I don’t know why I ended up here, but I am thankful for the care I have been given. I have a history of ear infections that were not treated. My ears are infection-free now, and I would appreciate an adopter who will help keep my ears that way.

I can walk well on a leash. When the kind volunteer came to take me for a walk, we walked with another female dog here, and I did well with her. I hope I can go for more walks. It’s a great way for a dog and a new owner to get to know each other and set up a routine.

I am mostly an independent dog who likes to do my own thing. I haven’t shown interest in toys but I sure like treats!

Because of my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet home. I am ready to leave the shelter and hope to do so soon! My ID number here at the shelter is: A746583

I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family that understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend.”
