Kixx
Very happy in her forever home!
Please note: The dogs in ODH's Final Refuge care are not adoptable due to medical reasons and all are in permanent homes. Your sponsorship supports the veterinary expenses for these dogs - and we thank you!
Kixx is an adorable 12 pound cock-a-poo who became an Old Dog Haven final refuge dog earlier this year when her original family could no longer keep her. This sweet, old girl was in need of a new home and also needed medical care to remove existing bladder stones. Untreated bladder stones in a dog can cause an obstruction that can eventually become a medical emergency.
A wonderful Old Dog Haven permanent foster family was found and Kixx’s foster mom reports that she has adapted very well to her new life. Kixx now has access to the best medical care through Old Dog Haven and recently had successful surgery to remove the bladder stones that were causing her issues. She will be on a prescription diet for the rest of her life to try to prevent a recurrence.
Kixx’s now lives with resident dogs, Lady and Bucky and they spend their days napping together, following each other around, exploring the outdoors, and barking in to show their excitement. Kixx loves everyone she meets and enjoys getting belly rubs and being snuggled on someone’s lap.
This friendly gal is thriving in her final home and her foster family is thrilled that Kixx will always be safe and surrounded by people and friends that love her.
