Lacey
Loves to go for walks and great on leash
9 year old Lacey is a 70 pound mixed breed girl. Any guesses on her breed mix? Whatever she is, we are told she is the sweetest dog who is happy and “smiles” when she sees people coming.
Lacey’s owner has recently passed away and extended family cannot keep Lacey. She is in need of an adoptive home where she will continue to be loved and in a home where she can remain for the rest of her days.
We are told that Lacey has lived with other dogs and is social when meeting new ones. She has lived with cats and has been around children. Lacey does best with kids who are old enough to know to be gentle to her.
Lacey LOVES to walk! We are told her leash skills are “perfect”. That is good because a dog her size could be very strong. Lacey would be happiest in a home where she gets to go on daily walks.
She has not had a home with too many stairs. According to family, she may not have arthritis at this time but certainly, one would expect that as she ages. She’s not a dog who will be easily carried up and down many stairs. One should consider this when adopting a dog her size.
Currently Lacey can manage quite a few hours before she requires a potty break. She is accustomed to living indoors, only going outside when she needs or wants to. She is not a barky dog. Lacey sounds like such a nice girl who is going to make a new family member!
