Do you remember Lady the cocker spaniel girl from the Disney movie “Lady and the Tramp”? Well this lovely cocker spaniel girl’s name is Lady as well but her story is not as fortunate as the movie version. Her true age is unknown because she was found years ago as a stray. Lady is approximately 10 years old. She’s a good size at 18 pounds. Lady has some arthritis in her hips but she can reportedly still do some stairs. She is good on leash and thoroughly enjoys getting out for walks and even short hikes.

In her younger days Lady used to go for runs with her person and she was really good at it. Lady has lived with other dogs in the past and she is friendly with dogs who are likewise. It is unknown how Lady is around cats but it is known that Lady is not doing well with a baby in her home. Lady needs to find a home without any young children as she does not appreciate them at all. Some of the things that Lady does appreciate are: car rides, playing fetch, and being with her people. Lady doesn’t care for being left alone. However when Lady has visited family who have dogs it seemed being left with another dog helped her not be so anxious. We find that sometimes a calm dog can help one that may be unhappy about being left alone.

Maybe this Lady will find her “Tramp”who will be her canine pal, like the one in the sweet story? Regardless this beautiful dog deserves her happily ever after.

Lady is currently in Tacoma, WA. in need of an adoptive home.

ODH has not met this dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
