LaLa the chihuahua is 9 years old and tiny at just over 4 pounds. She is missing quite a few teeth from dental disease and came to the shelter with a bad flea infestation; her skin and coat suffered from that. She is now flea-free and good care should return her coat to its former glory. She loves people and would like nothing more than to spend her day on your lap. She does not feel, however, she would like to share that lap with another dog and can be a little grumpy with any who try. (She has lived in a house with many animals, so has lived with dogs successfully in the past, but now she has had a taste of being the “only” dog she is not sure she wants to go back to competing for attention.) Lala came to the shelter never having walked on leash but is already following along with staff and soon will be a pro!
