LEXIE — the ball-chasing, couch-cuddling sweetheart you’ve been waiting for

Lexie has survived more than any dog should ever have to — but you would never know it by the way she lights up when she sees a person she loves. After being neglected and underfed, Lexie was found starving and wandering. Even after all of that, she remains incredibly affectionate, trusting, and eager to start the next (and best) chapter of her life.

About Lexie

Lexie is estimated to be around 8 years old, though she still has the playful spark of a younger dog. She loves to chase a ball, go for walks, and will happily curl up next to you afterward. If you’ve ever wanted a slightly oversized,  46 pound lap dog, Lexie is your girl — she absolutely lives for attention and connection.

Her Perfect Home

Lexie would thrive as a solo dog, where she can soak up all the affection she’s missed out on. She does well with cats and previously lived peacefully with three indoor/outdoor kitties. She is housebroken, walks well on a leash, and rides nicely in the car.

She is currently recovering from a flea-related skin infection, and she’s improving every day under foster care.

Why Lexie?

Because this girl has a heart that refuses to quit. She has endured hardship but still greets life with hope, softness, and a wagging tail. She’s ready for a quiet, stable home where she can finally feel safe — and be someone’s beloved companion for the rest of her years.
