“Hi there! My name is Lucy. I’m a 13 year old miniature pinscher who weighs 15 pounds.   I’m looking for a new home as my wonderful person who rescued me 9 years ago is no longer able to care for me. I have been her faithful companion as she has been a retired lady since I came to her. I’d love to find someone who will be around often as my person once was.  But don’t let that scare you, I can stay alone if you need me to without freaking out. Thanks to my dear lady, I have been well-socialized so perhaps I could join a home with other friendly dogs? I’ve been good with dogs of all sizes. I’ve ignored cats when I’ve been in homes with them. When it comes to kids, I prefer them to be older, quiet and gentle.

“So you ask what does a senior girl like me have to offer you? Well, I’m a nice dog and I’m very friendly. I really like people. If you need someone to cuddle with, I’m your girl! You may think that because I’m an old dog that I’m not very active but I am-I really like to go for walks and I’m well behaved on leash. Some say I have “good energy” and I have to agree. You probably look at my photo and say “13?! She doesn’t look like a teenager!” I can do stairs if I need to and if I must I can “hold it” for quite a few hours. When someone comes to the door, I’ll let you know but I’m not a super barky dog.  I want to please people and in return I hope I can find someone to love me for the rest of my days. I know that if my lady could keep me, she surely would but since she cannot, I hope to find a new home soon.

“I am ready and waiting in Mountlake Terrace, WA.”
